Orange County, which owns two resorts in Karnataka, has coming up with a Rs 224 Crore expansion plan to launch three more luxury resorts in the state and one at Kumarakom in Kerala's backwaters. The coastal city of Karwar, and Hampi, a world heritage site, will be the locations for the upcoming resorts in Karnataka.
The company is in talks with banks and private equity firms for funding. It expects the projects at Hampi and Bengaluru to be completed by 2009-'10, while the resort at Karwar will be ready by 2010-'11 and Kumarakom by 2011-'12.
